David Cartwright is Group Managing Director, Operations, Technology and Shared Services (OTSS). In this role, he manages the core support division of ANZ.

OTSS is accountable for the global delivery of ANZ's information technology solutions and infrastructure, for our back-office operations capability in India, and for the provision of shared services including property, sourcing, accounts payable, environmental sustainability and human resources.

OTSS also has functional responsibility for Operations and ANZ's Change and Project Management practices and for oversight of IT and Operational Risk and Information Security.

David is also responsible for ANZ's strategic cost management and productivity program.

Before joining ANZ, David was Chief Executive Officer of Intelligent Processing Solutions Limited (iPSL). iPSL is a joint venture created by Unisys, Lloyds TSB Bank, Barclays and HSBC that provides some 70% of cheque processing services in the United Kingdom.

Prior to this, David had a 22-year career in operations and technology at Barclays PLC. His roles at Barclays included Director, Operations and Client Experience, Private Clients and International; Managing Director, Service Delivery; and Managing Director, Barclays Technology Services.

David has a MA/BA from Oxford and was awarded a Sloan Fellowship with Distinction from London Business School.
